RATAS – Lembaga Bantuan Hukum (LBH) Pimpinan Pusat Gerakan Pemuda (PP GP) Ansor mengecam keras aksi teror berupa pengiriman kepala babi ke kantor Tempo di Jalan Palmerah Barat Nomor 8, Jakarta. Paket tersebut ditujukan kepada host Bocor Alus Politik dan jurnalis kanal politik Tempo.

Tindakan ini diduga sebagai upaya intimidasi terhadap jurnalis dan kebebasan pers, yang merupakan salah satu pilar utama demokrasi. Serangan semacam ini tidak hanya mengancam individu jurnalis, tetapi juga berpotensi membungkam fungsi pers sebagai kontrol sosial dalam negara demokrasi.

Pers Harus Bebas dari Ancaman dan Intimidasi

Ketua LBH PP GP Ansor, Dendy Zuhairil Finsa, menegaskan bahwa segala bentuk teror terhadap jurnalis adalah pelanggaran serius terhadap hak kebebasan pers dan hak publik atas informasi. Pers menjalankan tugasnya berdasarkan hukum yang berlaku, sehingga setiap upaya menghambat kerja jurnalistik harus ditindak tegas.

Tindakan teror ini juga menimbulkan ancaman terhadap keamanan jurnalis dan dapat menciptakan iklim ketakutan yang menghambat tugas media dalam menyampaikan informasi yang akurat kepada masyarakat. Jika dibiarkan, kejadian serupa dapat berulang dan semakin melemahkan prinsip demokrasi serta transparansi di Indonesia.

LBH PP GP Ansor mendesak aparat kepolisian untuk segera mengusut, mengungkap, dan menangkap pelaku teror ini. Tindakan intimidasi terhadap jurnalis merupakan tindak pidana sebagaimana diatur dalam Pasal 18 ayat (1) Undang-Undang Nomor 40 Tahun 1999 tentang Pers, yang menyatakan bahwa menghalangi kerja jurnalistik dapat dikenakan hukuman penjara hingga dua tahun atau denda maksimal Rp500 juta.

Sebagai negara hukum yang menjunjung tinggi kebebasan pers, pemerintah harus bersikap tegas dalam menghadapi setiap tindakan yang mengancam demokrasi dan kebebasan berekspresi. Negara tidak boleh lemah dalam menindak upaya-upaya yang bertujuan membungkam media.

LBH PP GP Ansor berkomitmen untuk terus mengawal proses hukum agar kejadian ini tidak terulang serta memastikan bahwa jurnalis dapat bekerja tanpa tekanan dan ancaman.
