RADAR TANGSEL RATAS – Indonesia dinilai berhasil mencatatkan lonjakan kinerja ekspor nikel seiring dengan keberhasilan hilirisasi mineral RI. Meski demikian, hilirisasi mineral RI bukan tanpa hambatan, sejumlah kritikan dan gugatan dilayangkan ke pemerintahan Jokowi sebagai bentuk penolakan hilirisasi.
Salah satu pengkritik hilirisasi nikel adalah mantan Wakil Presiden (Wapres) RI ke 10 dan 12, Jusuf Kalla. Ada tiga kritikan JK yang dilayangkan kepada pemerintah. Kritikan pertama, JK menyebut praktik hilirisasi yang berlangsung saat ini sangat berbahaya.
“Kalau hilirisasi, pertama ya, hilirisasi harus memang, itu namanya sebenarnya industrialisasi juga ya, Tapi, dengan praktiknya sekarang, sangat berbahaya untuk negeri ini. Kalau sekarang, praktiknya ya bisa mengembalikan negeri ini ke zaman VOC,” tutur Jusuf Kalla kepada wartawan di kediamannya (7/2/2024).
Menurut JK, hilirisasi saat ini lebih berpihak pada perusahaan atau negara asing, sehingga keuntungan dari proses hilirisasi malah lari ke luar negeri, bukan dirasakan masyarakat.
Bahkan, kata JK, orang asing menggali kekayaan dengan buruh yang murah. “Semua keuntungannya lari keluar, tidak ke dalam negeri, tidak ke pemerintah. Itu memiskinkan rakyat,” ungkap JK
Kritikan kedua, JK mewanti-wanti bahwa cadangan nikel Indonesia diperkirakan habis dalam 15 tahun ke depan. Ia merasa saat ini pemerintah sudah sangat mengeksploitasi hasil bumi yang satu itu. “Lah iya dihabiskan, diambil kan sekarang, bagaimana masa depan? Bagaimana generasi Anda? Dan itu betul-betul, sistem itu sangat merugikan. Sangat!” tandas JK.
Kritikan Ketiga, JK mengatakan hilirisasi hanya memperkaya negara lain dan memiskinkan rakyat sendiri. Bahkan, JK menambahkan, angka kemiskinan di daerah hilirisasi semakin bertambah dari tahun ke tahun, dan bukan berkurang. Misalkan saja seperti yang terjadi di Sulawesi Tenggara, Sulawesi Tengah, dan Maluku Utara.
