RADAR TANGSEL RATAS – PT Pertamina (Persero) melakukan penelitian dan pengembangan teknologi diesel biohidrokarbon dan bioavtur. Upaya ini dilakukan dalam ikhtiar Pertamina untuk mempercepat ketahanan dan kemandirian energi bagi negeri.
Komitmen kemandirian energi tersebut ditandai dengan penandatanganan PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI), PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja, PT Rekayasa Industri, Energi Baru, Terbarukan dan Konservasi Energi (EBTKE), dan LEMIGAS di Gedung Patra Graha, Cilacap, Jawa Tengah, Selasa (16/8).
Direktur Utama Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati mengatakan, penandatanganan ini sebagai komitmen Pertamina dalam energi transisi dengan cara mengembangkan sumber daya nabati yang banyak tersebar di Indonesia.
“Kedaulatan energi harus kita wujudkan dengan memanfaatkan sumber daya nabati yang harus menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan energi ke depan. Jika itu terwujud, maka kemerdekaan ini bisa kita wujudkan sebagai kedaulatan energi,” ujar Nicke.
Nicke menyampaikan apresiasi terhadap pihak yang terlibat dalam program ini. “Saya yakin ini bisa kita jalankan sebaik-baiknya dan bisa kita akselerasi demi kebaikan bagi bangsa dan negara ini,” katanya.
Direktur Utama PT KPI Taufik Aditiyawarman menjelaskan, dari banyaknya potensi energi baru dan terbarukan (EBT) di Indonesia, green energy merupakan satu dari strategi bisnis yang sesuai dengan PT KPI.
Menurut Taufik, pembangunan hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) merupakan langkah konkret dalam penyempurnaan teknologi HVO dan turunannya. Diharapkan, Indonesia akan menjadi leader demo plant (proyek percontohan) ini.
“KPI siap mendukung tidak hanya menyediakan lahan, tapi juga utilitas, tenaga kerja, dan semuanya. Kami komitmen menerapkan standar dalam mengelola kilang untuk kelancaran operasi demo plant, karena ini akan terintegrasi oleh RU IV Cilacap,” tutur Taufik dalam penyampaian kata sambutan.
Sementara itu, Direktur EBTKE Edi Wibowo menambahkan, untuk menuju target bauran energi Indonesia, maka teknologi dan inovasi yang muncul dan strategi untuk memanfaatkan nabati patut dikembangkan. Seperti yang dilakukan Pertamina dengan penelitian dan pengembangan teknologi diesel biohidrokarbon dan bioavtur.
Pabrik percontohan ini, kata Edi, dilaksanakan oleh Lemigas, PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja, PT Rekayasa Industri, dan Pertamina serta Direktur EBTKE sebagai koordinator.
“Semoga ini bisa berkontribusi terhadap ketahanan iklim, dan ketahanan energi nasional. Semoga apa yang sudah kita laksanakan ini menjadi semangat kemerdekaan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian dan ketahanan energi nasional bisa terwujud dengan baik,” tutur Edi.
Menurut SVP Research and Technology and Innovation Pertamina, Oki Muraza, setidaknya ada empat tujuan pengembangan demo plant ini. Tujuan yang pertama adalah mendukung program pemerintah dalam menciptakan teknologi proses guna menghasilkan produk diesel biohidrokarbon dan biodiesel.
“Tujuan kedua adalah menguji keandalan katalis hasil formulasi Pertamina dan ITB. Tujuan ketiga, mendukung pemerintah dalam rangka pemanfaatan minyak nabati. Dan tujuan terakhir adalah meningkatkan branding Pertamina sebagai perusahaan yang inovatif dan berkelanjutan,” paparnya. (BD)
