Waspada Cacar Monyet! Menkes: Jumlah Kasusnya Mungkin Lebih Banyak Dibanding yang Dilaporkan

Kementerian Kesehatan menyatakan bahwa ada kemungkinan jumlah kasus cacar monyet atau monkepox (Mpox) di Indonesia sudah menyebar secara lebih luas lantaran tidak terdeteksi. (foto: istimewa)

RADAR TANGSEL RATAS – Menteri Kesehatan RI Budi Gunadi Sadikin membenarkan laporan tentang kasus baru cacar monyet yang terdeteksi di DKI Jakarta. Ia pun mengimbau masyarakat tidak panik lantaran saat ini sudah ada vaksin untuk melawan penyakit yang juga disebut Mpox itu.

Budi menjelaskan, pemerintah saat ini tengah melakukan tracing kontak erat pasien terkait, untuk mengetahui awal mula penyebaran dan seberapa banyak kemungkinan kasus Mpox ditemukan. Pasalnya, ada kekhawatiran di masyarakat bahwa kasus Mpox sudah menyebar secara lebih luas lantaran tidak terdeteksi.

“Itu yang surveilans-nya sedang kita cari,” turur Menkes saat ditanyai soal dugaan kasus cacar monyet lebih banyak dibanding dengan jumlah yang dilaporkan.

“Kasus barunya itu sudah kita deteksi. Nah sekarang kita sudah minta pantauan P2P untuk lihat kasusnya seperti apa, dikonfirmasi kontak eratnya siapa, dan kita kan treatmentnya sudah siap, kita sudah siapin treatmentnya dan vaksinnya itu kan vaksin dulu cacar monyet masih bisa,” tutur Budi di sela-aela peresmian Corporate University di Balai Besar Pelatihan Kesehatan (BBPK) Jakarta Selatan, Selasa (17/10/2023).

Sebagai informasi, sebelumnya, Kepala Biro Komunikasi dan Pelayanan Publik Kementerian Kesehatan RI dr Siti Nadia Tarmizi menyebut pihak Dinkes DKI sudah menemukan sedikitnya tujuh kontak erat.

Sementara pasien Mpox kedua, ditemukan memiliki lesi lebih banyak bahkan sampai di 10 titik bagian tubuh. Gejala lain selain lesi yakni muncul keluhan demam. Hingga kini, pasien masih mendapatkan perawatan intensif. “Pasien dirawat, kondisinya baik tetapi memang ada demam dan lesi seperti keropeng, papula, vesikel,” ungkap Budi. (ARH)
